What
is freeze-drying? |

|
Freeze-drying,
the process technically known as sublimation, is the
cutting-edge technology used in floral preservation.
|
|
Our freeze-dry machine is assembled with a refrigeration
unit and vacuum which slowly extracts moisture from
your flowers. The water in the flowers will transform
from a frozen state to a vaporized state, bypassing
the liquid phase. This fascinating process minimizes
and often times eliminates flower shrinkage resulting
in a near-perfect preservation. |

What
is your process for freeze-drying my flowers? |
 |
After
we receive your flowers they are digitally photographed, disassembled,
and re-hydrated. Next, they are chemically pre-treated according
to color and flower type in order to enhance color and increase
durability. The flowers are inventoried and placed in a holding
freezer until room in the freeze-dryer becomes available. After
they come out of the freeze-dryer, they are post-treated with
a sealant that aids them from reabsorbing moisture. Finally,
they are color enhanced, redesigned and displayed into the
encasement of your choice. |

How
soon do you need my flowers? |
 |
The
fresher the flowers, the better your keepsake will appear.
It is important that you arrange to have your flowers
dropped off to us shortly after the event, within 2-3 days.
You may opt to reserve room in the freeze-dryer in advance
and guarantee your space with a $75 non refundable
deposit that will be deducted from your overall balance
upon ordering. Otherwise, we accept flowers on a first-come
first-dried basis. |
| |
|
 |
How
can I keep my flowers fresh until they get to you? |
 |
Always
keep your flowers in a cool and dry place. You may refrigerate
your flowers, but DO NOT FREEZE them. If
you have a hand tied bouquet or fresh flower arrangement,
it is best to trim the edge of the stems about ¼ inch
and place them in water. If your flowers are in a bouquet
holder, you may wet the oasis (the green foam) as long as
you do not moisten the flowers, themselves. |

|
 |
When
and how do I place my order? |
 |
Arrange
to have your flowers dropped off to us shortly after the
event at which time a $35 deposit is required to begin the
freeze-dry process immediately. Or, if you are located in
the Central Ohio area, we can pickup your flowers
for a $25 fee in addition to the $35
deposit. After we receive your flowers, please call
us when you have time to schedule your consultation.
You may browse through our showroom and observe several of
the displays on hand and glance through pictures of previous
keepsake arrangements. If you are a long-distance client,
you may schedule a phone consultation when we can
simultaneously walk through our website to complete your
order. When your display is ordered, ½ of the balance is
required (minus your initial deposit). The remainder of the
balance is due upon completion. |

When
can I expect to receive my floral keepsake? |
 |
| Your
keepsake will be finished between 12-14 weeks
after your order is placed. We know that you
will be eagerly anticipating your keepsakes and we will
notify you if it is completed prior to the expected
time frame. Your floral keepsake is considered work
of art and is carefully handled throughout the entire
freeze-dried process. We are committed to your satisfaction
and presenting you with a quality product. |

How
do I care for my finished keepsake? |
 |
Proper
care of your keepsake is vital to its longevity. It must be
kept out of high moisture areas, direct sunlight and extreme
temperatures. Proper instruction will be adhered to the back
of your completed keepsake. |
